The Snowdonia National Park Ambassador Scheme provides a unique training opportunity to enhance knowledge of Snowdonia National Park’s Special Qualities and all that makes Eryri exceptional.

Although aimed at those who work within the tourism industry or come into contact with visitors on a regular basis, anyone can take the course to become an ambassador and play an important role in enriching the visitor and local experience of Eryri. The scheme was introduced in 2020 and is funded by the Snowdonia National Park Authority and the Welsh Government and offered free of charge. It gives those with a passion for Snowdonia the opportunity to deepen their local knowledge, be part of a shared interest group and have the chance to celebrate and have pride in the region.

The Ambassador Scheme is achieved online in just a few easy modules. You can study at your own pace, at home or at your place of work. You simply read each module and then answer a short quiz on the content. Before you know it you will be an ambassador for the Snowdonia National Park.

The scheme’s modules cover different themes to allow flexibility in completing all modules or just those relevant to you and are a mix of text, images and films as everyone learns differently. All modules are available in Welsh and English. The current list of modules are:
